Claudia

Claudia grew up in a strict, religious southern household, she had a unhealthy relationship with her parents that lacked emotion or guidance. Although rules were put in place for her to obey, her parents offered her little of their time and as long as she obeyed their rules she was left to raise herself, escaping into the world of Horror films as a distraction. Through her teenage years, Claudia had a close male friend who she had always had feelings for. He was Claudia's only confidant through her difficult childhood and they enjoyed watching horror films together. This led to an unhealthy obsession with the Gothic and Vampires in particular, when she reached adulthood Claudia rebelled, running away from home and seeking out a Vampire to turn her. Claudia underestimated the insatiable hunger she would feel once she had transitioned, and in an uncontrollable rage, she lashes out and feeds on her best friend, killing him. Overcome with grief, Claudia locks herself away in her apartment and creates herself an imaginary boyfriend Quentin who shares a lot of similar character traits with her deceased best friend. Quentin is everything to lonely Claudia, but her neurotic and manic personality leads to violent mood swings, she will go from happily sarcastic to enraged and dangerous within seconds. Unfortunately for Quentin, it is him who bears the brunt of these mood swings but he is ever tolerant and loves her anyway. Afraid Quentin will leave her for her abusive and violent ways, Claudia brands Quentin using scarification with the words 'mine'. This is the word that a vampire uses to exercise a claim over a human in True Blood. 

Quentin

A figment of Claudia's imagination, Quentin shares a lot of characteristics with her dead best friend. They watch Horror movies together, and he shares the same calm, tolerant personality. Quentin loves Claudia and so he puts up with her mood swings and abuse. He is Claudia's main source of blood as she is afraid to leave her apartment for fear that she might harm someone. Claudia tries to control her aggressive nature that is a part of being a Vampire but unfortunately she can't so she uses Quentin to take out these urges. Quentin has a arty, laid back style wearing his messy long blonde hair in a ponytail and a nose stud. He bears the scars of Claudia's neurotic meltdowns, with scars saying 'mine' tattooed all over his face. What Claudia loves the most about Quentin is his humanity, as she misses her own so much. This is why I want the character of Quentin to be very weak, so emphasise his humanity against the Supernatural Claudia.
